Video description
Every year, international farm workers pour about 18 million dollars into Leamington and nearby Kingsville by shopping at local stores, eating out, and just by being part of the community. It’s great that these men and women can come up here and make good salaries to send back home to their families. It’s great for the farmers and greenhouse operators who get the help they so desperately need. And it’s great for the rest of us, too, because we get to eat fresh local produce. Many of us in retail, transportation or elsewhere wouldn’t have jobs if it wasn’t for them. Thank you, international farm workers!
