The Canadian Horticultural Council’s Labour Committee Executive has released a fact sheet to address some of the myths and misconceptions about the Temporary Foreign Worker Program Agricultural Stream.
The fact sheet, 10 Myths vs Reality, can be used by growers and member associations across Canada to speak in a coordinated voice about the Temporary Foreign Worker Program Agricultural Stream.
“The Temporary Foreign Worker Program Agriculture Stream is a vital program to Canadian producers. It helps growers bring their produce to market and maintains strong horticulture industry, while helping people from around the world earn money for their families back home,” says CHC Labour Chair, Murray Porteous. “It must be preserved and strengthened.”
