The Canadian Horticultural Council (CHC) is pleased to welcome two new managers to its team.

Nancy Baker, CHC’s new Manager of Policy Research and Development, has an extensive professional background that includes public policy development, analysis, research, stakeholder engagement and advocacy.  She has worked on Parliament Hill, including as an advisor to a senior cab­­inet minister, within a federal department, in the provincial jurisdiction and in the private sector. Nancy’s policy background has enabled her to be fully engaged in the federal policy process, government decision-making, cabinet committees, the legislative and regulatory environment and the operations of federal departments. She has worked in a broad range of public policy areas, preparing senior managers to make decisions, respond to issues and contribute to policy formation. Nancy can be reached at.

David Folkerson, CHC’s new Manager of Communications, is an award-winning communications professional who has extensive experience providing strategic advice to organizations in the public and not-for-profit sectors. He specializes in new media, such as digital video production, graphic design, and website management, and has a long history of using these skills to engage communities at the regional and national levels, working closely with a variety of associations and federal departments.
