New biopesticide priorities determined

The Pesticide Risk Reduction Program (PRRP) is pleased to announce that new biopesticide priorities for regulatory support have been determined as the result of merit analyses conducted on the seven candidate biopesticides identified by stakeholders at the 2016 Biopesticides and Minor Use Priority Setting Workshops. In consideration of the merit analyses and advice received during subsequent consultations with provincial minor use coordinators, PRRP technical working group members, and PMC’s Minor Use Pesticides Program, a decision has been made to take on the three biopesticide products listed below for regulatory support this year. Only three priorities could be selected this year, since five priorities were taken on in 2015.
