The Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) has published a Proposed Re-evaluation Decision for CAPTAN fungicide (PRVD2016-13) (https:\/\/www.hc-sc.gc.ca\/cps-spc\/pest\/part\/consultations\/_prvd2016-13\/index-eng.php<\/a>) which proposes to discontinue the use of, or limit the use of CAPTAN fungicide on many horticultural crops.<\/p>\n

To address the assumptions that the PMRA made in their CAPTAN risk assessments that resulted in unfavourable proposed decisions, grower surveys have been developed to determine actual grower use of CAPTAN (application rate, number of applications, post-application activities etc.) for the following commodity groups:<\/p>\n

Completed surveys should be returned by July 20 to <\/strong>admin@hortcouncil.ca<\/strong><\/a> or by FAX to 613-226-4497 or be submitted throughSurveyMonkey\u00ae<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n
