{"id":26840,"date":"2018-12-13T09:01:16","date_gmt":"2018-12-13T14:01:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.hortcouncil.ca\/?p=26840"},"modified":"2018-12-13T09:01:16","modified_gmt":"2018-12-13T14:01:16","slug":"canadagap-holds-2018-annual-general-meeting","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/fvgc.ca\/fr\/2018\/12\/13\/canadagap-holds-2018-annual-general-meeting\/","title":{"rendered":"CanadaGAP holds 2018 Annual General Meeting"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Annual General Meeting of CanAgPlus, the not-for-profit corporation that owns and operates the CanadaGAP\u00ae Program, was held on Thursday, December 6, 2018 in Ottawa.<\/p>\n<p>CanadaGAP program participants elected two new and two returning directors to the CanAgPlus Board.<\/p>\n<p>Congratulations to the following individuals:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Mike Furi, Federated Co-operatives Limited<\/li>\n<li>Alvin Keenan, Rollo Bay Holdings<\/li>\n<li>Cathy McKay, Nature&#8217;s Bounty<\/li>\n<li>Jody Mott, Holland Marsh Growers&#8217; Association<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Chair Jack Bates and Vice-Chair Hugh Bowman retired from the Board. Sincere thanks are extended to Jack and Hugh for their dedication and contributions to CanadaGAP.<\/p>\n<p>The new Board met subsequent to the AGM and appointed Stephanie Lariviere as Chair and Scott Wright as Vice-Chair.<\/p>\n<p>Newly elected board members will serve a two-year term for 2019 and 2020.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.canadagap.ca\/history\/governance\/\">View biographies of CanAgPlus directors<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.canadagap.ca\/publications\/annual-report\">View CanadaGAP&#8217;s 2018 Annual Report<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The corporation&#8217;s financial statements and the annual report Powerpoint presentation are accessible from the Members Only section on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadagap.ca\/\">CanadaGAP website<\/a> or directly from the office.
