CHC and CFIA\u2019s ongoing collaboration with regards to Canada\u2019s Plant and Animal Health Strategy (PAHS) was on display again recently as the two organizations presented at a meeting of FPT (federal, provincial, territorial) Assistant Deputy Ministers (ADMs) of Agriculture.<\/p>\n
The purpose of the presentation was to provide a progress update on a plan to implement the PAHS, to seek feedback from the ADMs, and to discuss next steps in preparing for the Ministers\u2019 Annual Conference in July.<\/p>\n
The presentation was well-received, with several ADMs praising the work accomplished to date.<\/p>\n
Canada\u2019s Plant and Animal Health Strategy was drafted together by governments, industry and others who play a role in safeguarding plant and animal health. It charts a path forward for collectively addressing evolving risks to plant and animal health focusing efforts on prevention and increased partner collaboration and coordination.<\/p>\n
CHC is a member of the Plant and Animal Health Strategy\u2019s steering committee and is a member of the working group that focuses on prevention.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
